Days 9-12:

It's been a busy few days! Here is a brief recap of our recent adventures:

·      A four-hour ATV ride through rice fields and villages outside of Siem Reap, complete with cricket eating, temple visits, dirt and dust, and lots of laughs!
·      Fish foot spa at the market around the corner from our hotel
·      A night of dancing in Siem Reap
·      A flat tire on the way to Phnom Penh (conveniently right in front of a tire garage - no joke)
·      Brave students holding tarantulas and eating fried water bugs (unsuccessfully…) at a roadside bathroom stop
·      An evening stroll past the king's palace along the river near our hotel in Phnom Penh
·      What we thought was going to be a leisurely bike ride through the country turned into a 25-mile adventure through the city, suburbs, and all the way to the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center; every student gave it their best shot, and Alden and Zach made it the entire way!
·      Bike touring through the preserve which is home to rescued elephants, sun bears, lions, tigers, and over a thousand species altogether
·      A rooftop pizza party at our Phnom Penh hotel, ending the evening with a postcard activity (and more dancing and bonding of course)

Our apologies for the brevity; we're blissfully exhausted but want to keep you up to date and add some description to all of the photos. Our last two days in Phnom Penh were switched, so we're off to the killing fields and orphanage tomorrow.
