A quick flight to the capital city of Hanoi brought us to the beautiful
northern region of Vietnam. We left early in the morning on our fourth day
for a four-hour drive to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage sight and
truly one of the more unique landscapes we've ever seen. Upon our
arrival to the marina we learned that we had been upgraded to a "5-star"
ship - four levels and a sun deck on top with sweeping views of the
bay. Tours of caves and coves, delicious seafood meals, swimming in the
sea, early morning Tai Chi, and late night bonding on the upper deck
filled our brief but unforgettable visit to Ha Long Bay. It's been so busy but we will share
more details and photos in an upcoming post; for now enjoy some pictures from the
past three days (please note they are out of order... we'll work on that...) Happy belated Father's Day and first day of summer to
all!
